Goal Setting Tips and Resources for 2011

FOCUS ON YOUR GOALS
Happy New Year everyone! It's officially 2011 which means the time for resolutions, breaking old habits and turning over new leaves is upon us. Many folks find goal setting an important part of these traditions, so I thought I'd share a few resources to help get things going for you in the new year. For those of you who shudder at the thought of goal setting, stay tuned for a future post where I'll share resources and tools that work for you. Until then, you can read my previous post that gives a few quick and easy tips on how to beat procrastination...and, yes....I do consider myself part of that group.....

That said, I'm fully aware that most humans respond well to goal setting and they may just need a little bit of direction or assistance to help them find the right system or tools. Below are a few resources designed to help you get started....or take it to the next level....depending on where you are in your goal setting process.

So let's get started:
For those of you who are pretty much on auto-pilot and are just looking for a few easy tools to use, here are a few sites/resources with some free forms, sheets, etc. to help you with your goal setting/tracking.

Goal Setting Forms (from goal-setting-for-success.com):  Free and it doesn't require an opt-in (your email addy). I also like that it takes you through the process step by step and has an overall "holistic" approach to goal setting. Incorporates the concept of SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).

Goal Setting Worksheets:  compliments the Goal setting form above, from the same site.

Self-Improvement-Mentor.com: free pdf for goal setting available. Works well for yearly/quarterly goals. Might be a good fit for business oriented goals.

Freedom Personal Development: opt-in required but is a great free tool. Helps you write down your goals in the "proper" format and addresses the importance/significance and planning of your goal. Also includes 2 articles on how to set goals and achieve them faster.

Now, for those that may require a little bit more support, accountability and/or direction. Below are a few resources with a little more "meat" to them. These are also good for the tech-junkies :)

Goal Setting College:  free subscription via email or RSS feed, includes goal setting forms/questionnaires, a goal action plan template and a free online goal tracking tool!

The Daily Goal Machine:  cool software at a reasonable price. Uses the concept of "time-boxing" for goal achievement. Includes 4 bonus ebooks and a 60-day money back guarantee. Here's a screenshot from the software (too cool not to share)

The Daily Goal Machine Helps You Get Stuff Done

GoalsOnTrack: goal setting web 2.0 style, membership program offering goal setting/tracking and time management tools. Includes a vision board, action plans, journal and tips on setting, tracking and measuring goals. Reasonable yearly fee. Signing up for their newsletter gets you a few great tools/e-books for free :) Check out the video for a quick overview.

Goal Achievement Formula: created by Gary Vurnum, author of Smart Goal Setting: 92 Tips For Using Short Term Goals To Create A Great Life, sign up for the free special report "6 Essential Steps to Achieve ANY Goal"...which is an easy read with great advice. You'll also receive a "limited-time" coupon you can use should you decide to join his step-by-step weekly goal training program.

100 Day Challenge:   This is the "grand-daddy" of them all....admittedly, I'm a wee bit biased because it was developed by the friend of a friend :).....but with the multitude of resources and tools, including coaching videos, an exclusive goal setting system, audio recordings, conference calls, and smartphone apps (to name a few) it's hard not to toot its horn. A bit more of an investment, but it's about as close to private coaching as you can get....for much less $$$$.

So there you have it. Hopefully you've found this information valuable and you're well on your way to bigger and better things for the new year. If you haven't found what you're looking for or if this has gotten you hungry for more, here are a few books that you might find helpful as well....some of them allow you to get a "sneak peek" and view some of the text. Enjoy!!!

...and by the way, do me a favor and let me know which of these tools, etc, did (or did not) work for you. You're comments are welcome and strongly encouraged :)

All the best,
Daneene

John Assaraf's Superpower...Is It In You?

So here's a question?

"If you could have any superpower in the world, what would it be?"

Watch this video to discover the superpower millionaire business coach John Assaraf says every person desires:

The Greatest Superpower in the World

Is right here!

There are a lot of cool superpowers out there: invisibility, mastery of the elements, reading people’s thoughts...

But you know what?

Of all the dozens of superpowers we can think of or
imagine, when asked this same question...

Every millionaire and success master chose the same power!

What is this one superpower that every wealthy and successful person agrees is the best?
More importantly, why do they believe this is a power YOU can possess? It's easier and more effective than you could possibly imagine.

You see, the wealthiest, happiest, most successful people in the world have come clean about this "power" for centuries.

World-renowned internet marketing giants like Frank Kern, Willie Crawford, and Eben Pagan, not
to mention, major success development giants like Jack Canfield, Deepak Chopra, and Oprah Winfrey...
they all possess and teach it.

So why haven't you discovered and used this incredible superpower yet?

It's so simple, you've probably ignored it!

Don't make that same mistake again. This isn't a gimmick to push some slick new money-making scheme, affiliate program, or software.

Actually, it couldn't be farther from it. You won't see a polished pitch in this video. In fact it's pretty "raw" if you ask me!

Just a conversation between John Assaraf and an underground insider, Harrison Klein. But what they talk about will blow your mind. What if the greatest superpower in the world was one YOU could possess?

Check this video out and who knows?
Your Very Own Superpower could be waiting for you right here!

If you haven't heard of John Assaraf, he is one of the most famous wealth and business experts in the world
and was featured in the movie, "The Secret."

Listen to what he has to say, put it to work in your own life and business, and be sure to listen to the very end to find out how you can learn more about tapping into this superpower for yourself (for FREE).

You'll learn how to cultivate this superpower plus plenty more. It's an intense conversation, but you get to be a fly on the wall.

WATCH THIS! Then use what you've learned.
Be sure to stop back here and leave a comment about your experience.

I mean, hey, if this is how the rich and successful people
of the world are doing things, then that's all I need to know.

And I'll be honest: when I first watched this conversation, I was a bit curious, maybe even a little confused. It's not at all what I was expecting. It's not
marketing, it's not business, it's not even mindset.

It's that vital power that comes BEFORE all that. It's what makes all that stuff work.

Do me a favor though. Don't ignore it because it seems strange or easy. If you want the type of money, success, and life that millionaires like John Assaraf enjoy...

Well when in Rome...

DO AS THEY DO!

I know I am.

To your success,
Daneene

Manifest Your Dreams

With the popularity of The Secret, I think I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who didn't have some inkling of what "The Law of Attraction" is all about....and... how powerful it can be. Sure, there are naysayers and skeptics alike but in general, I think it's safe to say that the idea of visualizing and manifesting your desired reality are not as "taboo" as they used to be.

I've recently come across a great tool to help you rev up the law of attraction by giving a *boost* to your visualization. I literally can't stop talking about it. It's called a Mind Movie and it was created by a guy from
Australia that was able to create the life he **desired** by using them and now he wants to help other people do the same. You can check out an interview with him here.

Aside: What's with Australia anyway....the "birth" of The Secret, now this! I'm thinking I need to take a trip down under!!!!!

Anyway, here's the url in case the link is a bit wonky (I'm still learning ya know?)
http://www.MindMovies.com/vid1/?11592

It's definitely worth taking a peek! You can even request 6 free pre-made videos for you to try out. No, it's not a free trial kind of a thing. They're yours to download without obligation....sweet!!!!

The other really cool thing is that you can actually purchase a kit so you can create your own personalized mind movies. Add your own empowering phrases, pictures, music, etc., etc. I just received my kit the other day so I'll have to keep you posted on the progress of my first manifesting video creation. Perhaps I'll even post it. I bet you can hardly wait!

Just remember....thoughts do become things....so be picky and be positive!!!

All the best,
Daneene
